• Demonstrated ability to conduct Molecular diagnostics – PCR, enzyme immunoassay.
• Documented success in protocoling bacterial and plantar DNA isolation and further amplification using PCR
• Proficient in modification of bacterial genome, including obtaining of transgenic bacteria and mutated specimens and samples
• Highly skilled in microclonal breeding of plants
• Experienced in ex planta and in planta agrobacterium-mediated transformation

Microbiology

• Experienced in laboratory research in evaluation of antifungal and antibacterial activity against bacteria and phytopathogens
• Excellent skills in execution of batch fermentation process
• Extensive knowledge and experience in serial dilution techniques, spread/pour/spread plate techniques

Basic Science Skills

• Proficient in restriction digestion and agarose gel electrophoresis separation techniques
• Adept at analyzing and recoding test results appropriately to issue correlating reports in graphical and narrative forms
• Well-versed in handling routine maintenance by calibrating lab equipment using approved procedures
• Well familiar with the use of spectrophotometers and standard lab equipment
• Documented success in organizing specimen, solutions, media labelling, logging and sorting for appropriate laboratory processes
